Transport
Students who live within the Nuriootpa High School district and who live five or more kilometres from the school are eligible to travel for no cost on DECS buses to the school. Detailed maps of bus routes are available at the school for parents who require further information. A public bus service operates between Gawler and Nuriootpa each day.
All students must apply for approval to travel on DECS buses. This is done at the time of enrolment. Students are allocated to the nearest bus service that meets the needs of all students in the district. Student numbers on buses are regularly monitored to ensure safety. Students must remain on the bus to which they are allocated unless they are given permission by the school to change to a different bus.
Students who live more than five kilometres from their nearest bus route may be eligible for a Travelling Allowance, if this is their nearest government secondary school. Appropriate forms will be issued to students on request to the School Business Manager.
