School History 1990-1999

For 58 years the school's colours had been brown, gold and blue. But in 1992 it was decided that a new blue uniform would used, and in 1993 on August 23rd this change came into affect and this is still the school's colour today. A break-in at the school Canteen showed the need for improved security and as a result heat and movement sensors were installed.

Her excellency, the Governor of South Australia, Dame Roma visited the school on the 15th of September 1994. She was invited to attend the Year 10 Girls Science and Technology Day as she was considered an excellent role model. On the 11th of November another important person visited the school, the Minister for Education, Hon. Rob Lucas, who was accompanied by the local member for Schubert, Ivan Venning.

In 1995 the school radio first came into being. The school radio is still makes an appearance occasionally today.

In 1998 the current art rooms were completed ahead of schedule. The Special Education Learning Unit was also established this year.
